General Information of HIF (ID: HIFC0032)
HIF Name
Type 1 regulatory T cells
HIF Synonym(s)
Tr1, Type 1 Tregulatory cells
HIF Classification
T cells (TCs)
Description Type 1 regulatory T (Tr1) cells are an inducible subset of regulatory T cells that play a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining tolerance. The main mechanisms by which Tr1 cells control immune responses are the secretion of high levels of IL-10, and the killing of myeloid myeloid cells through the release of Granzyme B. [1]
Microbe Species (MIC) Regulated by This HIF
         Lactobacillus pentosus (firmicutes) MIC00728
Description Lactobacillus pentosus modulated immune response by inducing Il-10 producing Tr1 cells(Type 1 regulatory T cells). [2]
