Description |
Bacteroides eggerthii is a species of obligately anaerobic, Gram-negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Bacteroidetes. It is commensal and part of the normal flora of the human gastrointestinal tract, but may become pathogenic in other body regions. It has also been associated with Inflammatory bowel disease.
