Description Granulicatella adiacens is a species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram positive, with streptococcus morphology. It is a normal commensal of human mucosal surfaces, inhabiting the oral cavity, urogenital and gastrointestinal tracts and rarely causing disease. G. adiacens has been associated with bacteremia and endovascular, central nervous system, ocular, oral, bone and joint and genitourinary infections.
